Solanum lycopersicum

Our Beefsteak tomato seeds offer gardeners a large and juicy tomato variety that originally comes from the Americas.

These seeds produce big tomatoes, often weighing over 450 grams. They have a red colour, wide shape, and a meaty inside with few seeds. This makes them especially good for slicing.

In Australia, Beefsteak tomatoes do well in warm areas with lots of sun. However, with some care, they can also grow in cooler regions. They are notably resistant to nematodes and some common soil problems.

In terms of cooking, Beefsteak tomatoes are great for sandwiches and salads because of their size and taste. They also provide vitamins A and C, potassium, and fibre.

For best growth, plant these seeds in rich, well-draining soil and place them where they can get 6-8 hours of sun daily. As the plants grow and produce heavy fruits, they may need support like cages or stakes. Water regularly to keep the soil damp but not too wet.

The best germination rate I have had

I have used other brands over the last 4 years and was lucky to have 30% germination rate. I have had a 100% germination rate with these seeds and all others I purchased from GoodSeeds
